CREATING AN ORGANISATION OF CEREAL PRODUCERS IN NORTHERN PORTUGAL
↗ The LIFE SOS Pygargus project aims to encourage the cultivation of cereal varieties selected in trials by creating an organisation of cereal producers in northern Portugal.
The main goal is to increase national cereal production and protect the Montagu's harrier, a species that has a vital area in northern Portugal.
BOOSTING THE SECTOR
ANPOC - Associação Nacional de Produtores de Proteaginosas, Oleaginosas e Cereais, partner in the project, is promoting the creation of a cereal producers' organisation in the north of the country. This entity will be fundamental in boosting the sector and promoting food security, increasing the national supply of this essential raw material and protecting the biodiversity of agricultural landscapes, for the benefit of all.
